Professional Package Home Loan

Professional Packages are usually offered to borrowers that need to lend $250,000 or more – lenders offer discounts off the standard variable rate usually depending on the size of the loan, but generally a 0.7% discount is pretty standard.

For loan amounts above $750,000 then a 0.75% discount is achievable with some lenders, 0.8% is usually offered around the $1M mark and above. We have been able to achieve discounts of up to 0.9% for larger loan amounts, but each deal is on a case by case basis and mostly depends on the strength of the client and location of the security property. As well as pricing discounts, Professional packages also offer the borrower features such as 100% offset accounts, redraw facilities (although most basic loans offer redraw now), fee free credit cards, fee free transaction accounts, multiple loan splits (great for investors with multiple properties or borrowers wishing to fix part of their loan) and discounted or no application fees. The negative is that they usually have a monthly or annual fee attached – but this is not the case with all lenders.
